Holiday Shipping Tips
You may be wondering how Whitman’s academic breaks will affect our hours of operation and ability to ship orders. Here is some information to help make this holiday season a smooth one when it comes to shipments:
The Bookstore maintains regular hours Monday, November 25 through Wednesday, November 27. However, we will be closed November 28-December 1 in observance of Thanksgiving. Please expect any orders placed during this time to be processed on the following Monday or Tuesday (December 2 and 3).
The last chance to place orders in time for delivery by Christmas will be Thursday, December 19 by 4:00 p.m. PST. Actual shipping costs (e.g. - UPS 2 Day Air) will be charged if the package needs to be expedited. If you need a shipment to arrive by a specific date, please call us or leave a note during the checkout process, and we can contact you to discuss shipping options.
Whitman College campus is closed December 21-January 1 for the winter holidays. We will still gladly accept orders during this time, but they will not be processed until the store re-opens on Thursday, January 2.
FINALS GIFT BASKETS:
Finals Week gift baskets will be delivered on Friday, December 13 or Monday, December 16 regardless of when the order was placed. Please expect to see your credit card charged around these dates. Since we will be delivering these through campus mail, you will not be charged for shipping, even if you have indicated a specific shipping method on your online order.
Currently, our website is only set up to offer Priority or UPS shipping. As stated in the order confirmation you will receive, your credit card is preauthorized for a ballpark figure. Once your order has been processed and is ready to ship, your card will be charged for the correct (actual) amount. Please feel free to contact us by phone, email, or by writing a note during the checkout process if you would like your package shipped via a specific method. We would be happy to assist you!
We are happy to help with returns and exchanges. Simply send your unworn merchandise back to us and we will send the new size or color at no additional cost to you.
