Holiday Shipping Tips
You may be wondering how Whitman’s academic breaks will affect our hours of operation and ability to ship orders. Here is some information to help make this holiday season a smooth one when it comes to shipments:
The Bookstore maintains regular hours Monday, November 23 through Wednesday, November 25. However, we will be closed November 26-November 29 in observance of Thanksgiving. Please expect any orders placed during this time to be processed on the following Monday or Tuesday (November 30 and December 1).
The last chance to place orders in time for delivery by Christmas will be Thursday, December 17 by 4:00 p.m. PST. Actual shipping costs (e.g. - UPS 2 Day Air) will be charged if the package needs to be expedited. If you need a shipment to arrive by a specific date, please call us or leave a note during the checkout process, and we can contact you to discuss shipping options.
Whitman College campus is closed December 21-January 1 for the winter holidays. We will still gladly accept orders during this time, but they will not be processed until the store re-opens on Thursday, January 2.
FINALS GIFT BASKETS:
Finals Week gift baskets will be delivered on Thursday, December 10th and Friday, December 11th regardless of when the order was placed. Please expect to see your credit card charged around these dates. Since we will be delivering these through campus mail, you will not be charged for shipping, even if you have indicated a specific shipping method on your online order.
