Merchandise Refunds and Returns
At the Whitman College Bookstore, we have a flexible return policy to make your shopping experience convenient and easy. We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase, but understand that sometimes an item needs to be returned or exchanged. No worries! We are happy to help.
Returns/Exchanges in Store
Please return the item in its original resalable condition with the packing slip to the Whitman College Bookstore. Returns must be made within 60 days from the purchase date and be returned to the store of purchase in the original condition. The Whitman College Bookstore staff has discretion over all returnable items. Your refund will be credited to the account it was billed, unless you would like the refund issued as store credit.
Returns/Exchanges by Mail
Merchandise can be exchanged or refunded by mail as long as they are in its original resalable condition. Refunds will be issued with the same method you paid. For example, if you paid with a credit card, we'll issue a refund on your credit card. If we cannot credit the account for some reason, we will offer you a store credit for the refund amount on a store gift card. You will be notified if our office encounters any problems with your return/exchange.

Shipping items for EXCHANGE
If you plan to exchange an item, please enclose the following with your exchange:
- Item(s) being returned.
- Information (color, size, style, quantity) of item replacement.
- A copy of your customer invoice or order number (if applicable).
- Return street address and daytime phone number.
Shipping items for REFUND
If you would like to ship the item(s) back and receive a refund, please enclose the following:
- Item(s) with explanation of return (i.e. incorrect item ordered, garment did not fit, etc.)
- A copy of your customer invoice or order number (if applicable)
- Daytime phone number
Your refund will be credited to the account it was billed unless you would like the refund issued as store credit. For your safety, please do not include credit card information with your return.
